**800G OSFP112 2xFR4 Transceiver Overview**

The 800G OSFP112 2xFR4 transceiver is a high-performance optical module tailored for 2km optical communication. With a top closed fin design, this product efficiently converts electrical input data into optical signals, and vice versa, ensuring rapid data transmission across the network.

**Key Specifications:**

- **Form Factor**: OSFP, hot pluggable.

- **Design**: Top closed fin.

- **Optical Configuration**: 2 sets of 4 CWDM lanes, supporting MUX/DEMUX.

- **Electrical Interface**: Adheres to 800GAUI-8 (8x106.25Gb/s) as per IEEE 802.3ck.

The transceiver integrates with the Common Management Interface Specification (CMIS). This facilitates host software to monitor and control the transceiver's status through the I2C interface. Some of its notable features include:

- Adaptive Tx input equalization.

- Programmable Rx output amplitude, pre-cursor, and post-cursor.

- Monitoring capabilities for supply voltage, transceiver case temperature, Tx optical power for each lane, Tx bias current, and Rx optical power.

- Warning and alarm indications for each DDM function.

- Tx & Rx LOL and LOS indications, and Tx fault indications.

- Capabilities for both host and line side loopback, PRBS generation/checking, and CDB firmware upgrades.

- Versatile diagnostics monitoring (VDM) – optional feature with additional power consumption.

  

**Applications:**

The transceiver is apt for a variety of use cases including Ethernet, Telecom, and Infiniband. It supports multiple application configurations as per the CMIS definition:

1. 2x400G FR4 - Two sets of 400G per port breakout connections.

2. 2x200G FR4 - Two sets of 200G per port breakout connections.

3. 8x100G FR - Eight 100G per port breakout connections.

4. 1x800G FR8 - One 800G per port point-to-point connection.

For backward compatibility applications, please refer to the detailed application list. It's worth noting that mixed applications of cases 1 and 3 are also supported.
